“The Armor of God” series – Fantasy

There are currently two manuscripts in this series:

• • Search for the Armor of God (published Sep 2023 – on Amazon.com)

• • Battle for the Armor of God (published Dec 2023 – on Amazon.com)

Set in a medieval fantasy realm, the story is focused on Prince Henry of Wythreall. The eldest son of King Jarvic, Henry is not the heir apparent. That is his younger brother, Prince Tyrus. When the series opens, Henry watches his life pass before his eyes as his father is deep in arranging his betrothal to a princess of a nearby kingdom, which would remove Henry from his homeland. In what seems like a postponement of the inevitable, news of an approaching army leads his father to send Henry on a quest led by Tyrus to find the lost Armor of God. They travel the lands of there world, encountering those who would stop them, losing members of their entourage, and gaining new allies in unexpected places. 

The second volume begins with Henry dreaming about a great battle, and covers the battle that was foretold in the first book. It is in this story where Henry continues on his own personal journey to move beyond the boxes others had put him in, seeking to understand himself and move forward in life as his authentic self and not succumb to what others say.

“K Team Chronicles” (series) – Military Science Fiction

Set around 250 years in the future, this is currently a series of short stories told in a first person narrative by the commander of K Team, 4th Galactic Cavalry. Currently the name and sex of the narrator is not revealed as a way of letting the reader set the tone of the story by inserting themselves or a favorite character-type as the storyteller.

Two of the stories were selected as “Honorable Mention” for the Writer’s of the Future contest.

“Candace” (working series title) – Military Science Fiction

Set in the same universe as the K Team Chonicles, “Candace” follows a cavalry officer who goes through a complete change in her life while on active duty, just prior to taking her first combat command. It follows her transition, and the ups and downs she must negotiate once her background is revealed to the soldiers of her own cavalry troop and within the cavalry regiment itself.

As a short story, the beginning of Candace’s story received a Writer’s of the Future “Honorable Mention,” and was a CIBA* Short Story “Finalist.” 

“Meagan Wise” (working series title) – Science Fiction

Meagan’s story is set in the same universe as the K Team Chronicles and Candace. Meagan is an inventor and daughter of the man who started Algorythm Industries, the largest design firm for space technology. Meagan becomes upset when her father tries to sell her work to both Human and Alien governments; Meagan only designs for space exploration, with her goal to give explorers an advantage to keep them alive in dangerous exploration scenarios.

As a short story, the beginning of Meagan’s story made the CIBA* Short Story “Short List.”
